Abbeyside Church
A view of the east facade of Abbeyside Parish Church with the ruined older church to the left. The ruined church is known locally as the 'Clogchas'. The Church was built c.1820 and incorporated some fragments of the old Abbey. The photograph shows the east facing window and tower of the old Abbey. The main church is obscured by bushes, The tower and a some of the east wall is covered with ivy. There are a few tomb stones near the ruined older church and some marker stones in front of the bushes.
